Our recipes take inspiration from the Italian and Mediterranean passion for good, simple food. Our range of food is created by highly experienced chefs and food experts, such as Italian chef Ursula Ferrigno. Together we develop deliciously unique recipes that are exclusive to Caffè Nero.
We believe in high quality, interesting, artisan food. We always look for the best ingredients, and we develop favourite, trusted recipes and make them our own. Our range is similar to that of a deli; serving handmade sandwiches (including our panini), traditional soups, salads, fresh pastries and delicious cakes.
Providing a healthy eating option and catering for different dietary needs is also something we carefully consider. All of our products are free from genetically modified ingredients and hydrogenated fats and we avoid using any artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners in our food. Finding the right balance of ingredients is vital in creating vibrant good food.
We are always looking at the different foods we offer to see where we can reduce the levels of salt and fat without affecting flavour or quality. We have actively reduced the salt content of many of our products and continue to work on this for both existing and new foods.
Developing fresh, interesting, quality food recipes for the cafè environment is not always easy. Part of the success of our quality food offering is down to our distribution network; a great team of people who work relentlessly to deliver our food every day to every store – come snow, rain or blizzard!
