Harris+Hoole reports very strong sales over summer quarter

  • Like for Like sales up 14.7% over 13 week period
  • Gross sales up 11% in preceding 13 week period
  • Summer drinks up 80% year on year helps drive sales performance

Speciality coffee house brand Harris+Hoole (H+H) has reported very strong sales for the 3 months at
the start of Summer (May through July). During the period, Like for Like sales were up 14.7% with
gross sales rising to £2.1m from £1.9m in the preceding 13 week period, representing 11% sales
growth.

Contributing to the robust summer sales have been a hugely successful summer drinks range, which
includes the Strawberry Iced Matcha and a variety of other iced drinks. This new iced drinks range
has helped summer drinks sales soar 80% year on year.

At the same time, a new food transformation programme was launched in-store which means a
whole range of savoury lines (including the filled croissants and Italian Schiacciata breads) are now
freshly made in the store to enhance food quality and freshness. Since the new food range was
initated, food sales at H+H have grown 24%.

Harris + Hoole is an award-winning specialty coffee brand. It only sells coffees achieving specialty
coffee grade and high quality single origin coffees. A great deal of time and effort goes into ensuring
that H+H coffees are of the finest quality. All coffee is sourced directly from origin by Harris + Hoole’s
buyers and roasted in The Nero Group’s dedicated roastery by master roasters with over 150 years
combined roasting experience. Harris+Hoole’s Head of Coffee and lead coffee trainer are both SCA
qualified and are UK Barista Championship judges, further ensuring the highest of coffee standards.
Harris+Hoole began in 2012 and now has 15 stores across London and the South and is actively
seeking new sites in the Southeast of England to further its expansion.
