She started her classical music training on cello aged 6 and learnt drums from age 11. The unlikely pairing, born from a love of Jaqueline Du Pre and John Bonham saw her play in youth orchestras and rock bands. At 18 she started her professional career as a session musician which has seen her play for the likes of Emeli Sande, Roachford and Just Jack to name a few.

Her first short film “Wider Than The Sky” which she wrote the script and composed the music for has just finished showing at film festivals around the world. It won 9 awards including the Global Music Silver Medal Award and the Performance/Aviva Short Film Best Drama Award.

She has just finished two new music EPs, the first of which (“Heads or Tales”) was released to critical acclaim in June 2025 with single releases from this project also receiving strong radio support including BBC Foyle and BBC London – Gaby Roslin and praise from Johnny Marr himself for her cover of The Smith’s classic “How Soon Is Now”

We are particularly pleased to have Bird reviving Caffè Nero Live music tours which pre-covid were very popular. In September she is touring twelve Caffè Nero’s, as listed below. Entry is absolutely free and you will have a uniquely intimate concert given by Bird following which you can meet her and even buy some merch!
